From 01st to 31st of July Passenger port of St. Petersburg has received 67 cruise ships which brought 150 100 passengers to Saint Petersburg.  Pacific Princess and Columbus made their inaugural calls. 

The total berth time of the ships is 126 ship-days, total amount of passenger operations – 544 193. 

Services provided to ships:
Fresh water bunkering – 14 460 m3
Garbage collection – 1 437 m3
Waste-waters reception – 10 540 m3

In the indicated period 11 helicopters have used the helipad of Passenger port of Saint Petersburg for landing and take-off.

On 5th of July as a part of a visit to St. Petersburg, Passenger port was visited by representatives of the Panasonic company (Japan). The delegation headed by the director of the Panasonic Security System, Isao Simada, demonstrated new products designed specifically for seaports with the achievement of high-quality video surveillance, as well as preventing illegal actions.

On 6th of July within the framework of the Baltic Yacht Week 2017 business program, a round table "Yacht clubs of St. Petersburg in the realities of modern legislation" was held at Passenger port of St. Petersburg. During the event, representatives of the yachting community discussed such important issues as development of Water resources law and tax legislation, development of infrastructure for yachts and small boats, and popularization of sailing among young people. 

On 11th and 12th of July Passenger port of St. Petersburg again has received the maximum number of ships - 7. Within two days the vessels have brought 23 458 passengers abroad. The next time seven ships are expected at Passenger Port of St. Petersburg on August 16th.

On July 17th, a festive welcome of the legendary four-masted barque "Sedov" took place at Passenger port of St. Petersburg. In accordance with the maritime tradition the general director of “PP of SPb MF” PLC Vadim Kashirin has handed to the captain of the sailing vessel "Sedov" Victor Nikolin a memorable plaquette in honor of the first vessel call to the Port.

On July 21st a cruise ship Pacific Princess (Princess Cruises) made its inaugural call to Passenger port of St. Petersburg. It has 11 decks, 338 cabins, 181 m length and capacity of carrying 688 passengers on board. Traditionally a welcome plaque ceremony was arranged on board the vessel.

On July 21st “PP SPb MF” PLC representatives as a part of St. Petersburg delegation headed by St Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko paid an official visit to the sister city of St. Petersburg Turku (Finland). During the visit, the delegation met with the Mayor of Turku Alexi Randell and representatives of the city’s organizations, during which a Memorandum of Understanding Between Passenger Port of St. Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC and Port of Turku Ltd was signed.Among the main areas of cooperation these should be noted: parties aim at improving the attractiveness of cruise and ferry tourism in the region and creating the most comfortable environment for passengers of cruise and ferry vessels, representatives of cruise and ferry lines and tour operators, by developing ports’ infrastructure, improving the quality and increasing the quantity of available services, taking other relevant measures.

On 26th of July St. Petersburg became Top-Rated Baltic & Scandinavia Destination for the second year in a row according to the leading cruise reviews and information site Cruise Critic. This cruise season is expected to be a record-breaking one, with 247 calls and more than 540,000 passengers visiting.

On July 29th cruise ship Columbus operated by Cruise & Maritime Voyages made its inaugural call to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg. It has 11 decks, 775 cabins, 247 m length and capacity of carrying 1400 passengers on board. The crew is 514 persons. Traditionally a welcome plaque ceremony was arranged on board the vessel. Until the end of cruise season 2017 Columbus will visit the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg 2 times.

Maximum number of vessels at the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg this month - 7 vessels on 09th, 11th, 12th and 22nd of July.
