25.07.2016 Inaugural call of Wind Surf

Today, on July 25th, cruise ship Wind Surf operated by Windstar Cruises made its Inaugural call to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg.

Wind Surf is one of the largest five-masted barque in the world. She was built in 1990  by Club Med in Société Nouvelle des Ateliers et Chantiers du Havre, France, as Club Med I but in 1998 she was purchased by Windstar Cruises and renamed as Wind Surf. Club Med (Club Méditerranée) offers a luxury and comfortable vacation.

She has 6 decks, 154 cabins, 162 meters length and capacity of carrying 310 passengers on board. 

Windstar Cruises , founded in 1984, offers a luxury on-board product during Carribean, Mediterranean, Baltic and Transatlantic cruises. Windstar Cruises operates three sailing yachts: Wind Star, Wind Surf and Wind Spirit.

Traditionally a welcome plaque ceremony was arranged on board the vessel.

On July 23th ship started its 10-days cruise around the Baltic sea calling the ports of Stockgholm, St. Petersburg,
Helsinki, Tallinn, Copenhagen, Klaipeda, Gdansk, Bornholm.

Wind Surf will make the next call at the Port on August, 9th, during the Baltic cruise.
