A press conference on the upcoming 2015 cruise season and on Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg development prospects was held

Today, April 30th 2015, a conference on the upcoming 2015 cruise season and on Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg development prospects was held at the press-centre of Interfax North-West news agency.

The head of “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Fa?ade” PLC Serik Zhusupov has highlighted the main lines of development for Passenger port of Saint Petersburg and has noted that all the main performance indicators of the company are expected to improve in 2015, especially emphasizing the fact that St. Petersburg became the best cruise destination offering quality tourist programs for groups, according to the British magazine Cruise Insight.

The head of FGBU “AMP of the Baltic Sea” Petr Parinov has noted the fact that the infrastructure of Passenger port of Saint Petersburg matches the highest international standards and that marine tourism is developing in St. Petersburg.

The Captain if the seaport “Passenger port of Saint Petersburg” Yuriy Orlov has announced the main quantitative indicators for the 2015 cruise season and the details of placement of passenger vessels at marine terminals of St. Petersburg.

The Deputy Chair of the St. Petersburg Committee on Transport Aleksey Lvov in his speech has explained the procedure for reclassification and reconstruction of the checkpoint at Passenger port of Saint Petersburg and the expected results. He noted that the establishment of year-round ferry communication at the Port is closely connected with the commissioning of the Central section of the Western High Speed Diameter.

The Deputy Chair of the St. Petersburg Committee on the Development of Tourism Nana Gvichiya has reported that a 10-15% increase in tourists at St. Petersburg is expected in 2015, comprising the cruise and ferry tourists.

Chair of “Passenger port Saint Petersburg” State border checkpoint coordinating council Alexander Timofeev has confirmed the readiness if the state control bodies and of the checkpoint infrastructure for reception and service of vessels and passengers.

Representatives of the leading media of St. Petersburg had a chance to receive answers to any relevant and interesting questions.
