Passenger port of St. Petersburg reduces the port dues in low season

03 February 2014

Federal maritime and river transport agency decided to reduce Port dues for passenger cruise ships calling to St. Petersburg in "low seasons". Pursuant to this decision FSI "Administration of the sea port "The Big Port of St. Petersburg " and FSUE "Rosmorport" ordered to reduce Port dues by 50% for periods from January 15th to April  30th and from October 1st  to December 25th, 2014.

First ship which will be subject to this reduction is MS Discovery, calling to Passenger Port of St. Petersburg at April 26th, 2014.

We can also mention this will be the earliest call opening summer cruise navigations in our Port.

Reduction in Port dues is the result of a proposal of "Passenger Port of St. Petersburg "Marine Fa?ade", emerged at the meeting of representatives of Baltic cruise ports, held in the Port in October, 2013. Participants of the meeting agreed that the reduction in Port dues will help them to expand the navigation period in the region by attracting additional passenger ships to Baltic ports during "low season".

Idea was also supported by five marine capitals of the Baltic - Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, Rostock and Kiel.
