The water transport is one of the strategically important sectors of the Russia’s economy, which provides cargo and passenger transportation, ship construction and repair and contributes to the expansion of foreign trade relationships and tourism development. The well-coordinated and conscientious work of seamen, port workers, shipbuilders, and ship repairmen ensures the active growth of the industry, while preserving the centuries-old traditions of the Russian fleet. On this festive day, we wish you good naval health, well-being, the unclouded horizon and the traditional ‘seven feet beneath the keel’.
As usual, on the Day of Sea and River Fleet Workers, the representatives of PP SPb MF, PLC took part in the ceremony of laying flowers at the Monument to the Sailors and Fathers of the Russian Fleet on the Petrovskaya Embankment. The event organized by the Administration of St. Petersburg was also attended by officials of St. Petersburg Government, AMP of the Baltic Sea FGBE, the North-West Basin Branch of Rosmorport FGUE, government supervision agencies, representatives from St. Petersburg maritime educational institutions and industry workers.
