The Passenger Port Hosted the Red Bull Hockey Tournament “Helmet and Gloves” 2019

On February 17, the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg “Marine Façade” hosted the qualifying round of the Russia’s largest hockey tournament: Red Bull “Helmet and Gloves”. Not everyone grows to professional sports, but everyone can fill his or her live with physical contests. Almost every famous hockey player began his career in a tiny courtyard hockey pitch, on self-made ice. For the second year now, Red Bull “Helmet and Gloves” and the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg “Marine Façade” have given you the opportunity to test yourself and your team in the Port’s open rink. All you had to do was to gather your own team, to register on the site, to come on the ice, and prove to just the same guys from the neighboring yard that your team deserves to be the best!

     

     

64 teams took part in the competition, who fought in the format of four-by-four game for time in the absence of goalkeepers. Each team consisted of 6 players and played two periods of 15 minutes with a 5-minute break.

     

The winner of the tournament in St. Petersburg was the Rusfan team who fought for winning the final with the Neva Lions 2 team and won with a score of 7: 2. Thus, Rusfan will go to the Super Final.

     

The team of the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg “Marine Façade” also took part in the “Helmet and Gloves” tournament. The most productive was the first game in which the team of the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg “Marine Façade” scored 15 goals.

     

The national final of the “Helmet and Gloves” tournament will be held on February 23 in Moscow. The strongest amateur teams of the country will fight there, including the winner of the qualifying stage in St. Petersburg.
