21.10.14 cruise ship «Marco Polo» called Passenger Port of St. Petersburg «Marine Facade»

Today, 21 October, at the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg has berthed cruise ship «Marco Polo» with 751 passengers on board belonging to the British cruise line Cruise & Maritime Voyages. This call for «Marco Polo» is the fifth one in 2014 and the twentieth throughout the navigation of the Passenger Port. Most of the tourists who arrived on board of the ship are citizens of the UK.

In a 12-day cruise ship visited the ports of Tilbury, Copenhagen, Warnemunde, Tallinn, in Saint-Petersburg will stay for two days and then she will visit the ports of Helsinki and Nyn?shamn. This year in December the ship will be in the Mediterranean and in January 2015 she will go into a transatlantic cruise to the coast of South America.

It is noteworthy that the ship «Marco Polo» was built at a shipyard in Wismar (Germany) for the Baltic Shipping Company in 1965 and up to 1991 bore the name "Alexander Pushkin", and the first port of registry of the ship was Leningrad.

Next call of «Marco Polo» at the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg "Marine Fa?ade" is scheduled for May 18, 2015.
