"Students Initiation" at Passenger port of Saint Petersburg.

On October 3rd Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping Institute of International Transport Management held the "Students Initiation" event on the territory of Passenger port of Saint Petersburg. The dean of the university Mr. S. Baryshnikov greeted the students and congratulated them upon enrollment. Members of the Academic Council of the university, ancient graduates, navy veterans and a representative of Vysotsk seaport addressed the students with best wishes.

A future graduate of the university was given the word for a mandate to freshmen.

All freshmen have solemnly sworn to:

• be true to the spirit of student fraternity;
• bear the title of Student with dignity, sparing no effort in studying the sciennces and gaining knowledge
• use the acquired professional skills and experience to ensure the prosperity of the country.

In conclusion of the event the state anthem of Russian Federation was sounded and a collective photo was taken for the good memory of the event.

This was the first event organized by the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping Institute of International Transport Management on the territory of Passenger port of Saint Petersburg. The Port has a long-standing friendship with the management and the academic body of the university, and many employees of Passenger port have graduated from there.
