Passenger port of Saint Petersburg summarizes the 2015 cruise season.

During the 2015 cruise season Passenger port of Saint Petersburg has received 223 cruise and 6 ferry calls, which brought a total of 491 822 passengers to St. Petersburg. The 2015 cruise season was opened on May 2nd 2015 with the call of the Costa Pacifica cruise ship, Carnival Corporation and plc, and on October 19th the Marco Polo ship of Global Cruises has with its departure concluded the summer cruise season. According to the season results, passenger traffic of Passenger port of Saint Petersburg has increased by 2% compared to 2014. The port has met all operational and financial goals for 2015, namely:

ü The total passenger turnover has increased by 1%;

ü The volume of fresh water bunkering provided to ships increased by 1%;

ü The volume of garbage collected from ships increased by 5%;

ü The volume of waste waters collected from ships increased by 1,5%;

ü At the end of the year net profit is expected to increase by 46% and EBITDA – by 75%.

In 2015 Passenger port of Saint Petersburg has received 13 maiden calls, which is almost twice the amount of the year before. Particularly noteworthy is the call of Britannia, new 330-meter cruise ship of Carnival Corporation & plc – it brought over 4 000 people at once. Also this year the sister ship of Royal Princess – Regal Princess has come to the port for the first time. During the 2015 season the ship made 12 calls to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg and brought over 45 000 people to our city. For 9 170 passengers St. Petersburg became the starting point of a cruise in 2015. During the year the Port has experienced full berth occupancy twice, when 7 ship were in the Port at the same time – on July 1st and 18th. Also on July 18th the port has received 14 996 passengers – the absolute record not only in the season, but in the entire history of Passenger port of Saint Petersburg as well.
