Transport Security Plan exercise at Passenger port of Saint Petersburg

On December 4^th 2015 “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC has conducted an exercise of the Transport Security Plan for the “Marine terminal of “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC” facility. During the exercise the staff of “Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC and of other organizations present at the facility have practiced the appropriate actions to be taken in cases of direct and immediate threats to the facility. The order of notifying the competent authorities in such cases was practiced as well, and timing of actions was checked.

Among the exercise participants were representatives of Russia’s Federal Security Service, St. Petersburg water transport police, St. Petersburg fire service, Vasileostrovskiy district police, border control and customs authorities.

We are glad to note that the exercise was completed in full and that all training objectives were achieved. The event is particularly important in the context of increased attention to security on transport facilities.
