During the navigation period of 2014 Passenger port Saint Petersburg has received 234 cruise and 5 ferry vessels that brought a total of 483 456 passengers to St. Petersburg. The 2014 cruise season has started on April 26th when the “Discovery” vessel of Global Cruises Limited has made a call to the Port. This cruise vessel call was remarkable as it was the earliest one to be made in the entire operation of “Marine façade”. The 2014 navigation was concluded by the «Marco Polo» vessel of Global Cruises Limited that made her call to the Port on October 21st. The foundation meeting of the Cruise Industry Leaders Association of St. Petersburg took place on December 12th, 2014.

The Association was established by the industry leaders of the Russian North-west: Arctur Travel, Baltic Travel, Inflot Worldwide, St. Peter Line and Passenger port of St. Petersburg.

The main goal of the Association is to develop cruise tourism in Russia, raise awareness about cruises among citizens of our country and to promote St. Petersburg as a major cruise and ferry destination on international level.

During the international conference "Development of cruise tourism: Focus on St. Petersburg" at the Passenger Port "Marine Facade" a round table: "Development of cruise and ferry lines in the Baltic Sea:how to attract more tourists to St. Petersburg during navigation" has taken place.

Participants discussed the cruise market trends in the Baltic Sea, its prospects and future projections. November 12th representatives of public authorities, professionals and the cruise market experts will gather in St. Petersburg at the international conference "Development of cruise tourism: Focus on St. Petersburg."

On 5-6 November, 2014 in Tallinn took place regular meeting of representatives of the ports of the Baltic Sea: Copenhagen, Helsinki, Kiel, Riga, Rostock, Saint-Petersburg, Stockholm and Tallinn.

Participants discussed the prospects of the development of the cruise market in the Baltic Sea region, including the possibility of extending the cruise season in the Baltic Sea and promotion of concept of winter cruises. Moreover, parties discussed the issue of improving the infrastructure of the Baltic ports necessary for the reception of ships and providing the additional services.

Today, 21 October, at the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg has berthed cruise ship «Marco Polo» with 751 passengers on board belonging to the British cruise line Cruise & Maritime Voyages. This call for «Marco Polo» is the fifth one in 2014 and the twentieth throughout the navigation of the Passenger Port. Most of the tourists who arrived on board of the ship are citizens of the UK.

PLC "Passenger Port of St. Petersburg "Marine Façade" took part in the tenth cruise exhibition Seatrade MED 2014 in Barcelona.

As part of the exhibition of PLC "Passenger Port of St. Petersburg "Marine Façade" discussions were held with representatives of the cruise lines and ports in the Baltic Sea, discussed the preliminary results of the summer cruise navigation in 2014 as well as plans for 2015.

Seatrade MED (Seatrade Mediterranean Cruise & Ferry Convention) - one of the most prestigious events of the cruise in the Mediterranean, brings together more than 3,000 visitors and 170 participating companies.

Today on 5th September, sunny and warm autumn day, in the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg five cruise ships.

The total number of arrived passengers - 8800.

By the seventh berth moored m/s Royal Princess (Carnival Corporation) with 3600 passengers on board, who came in passenger port for the eleventh time in navigation 2014. This is the last call of this year.

At the third berth m/s Seven Seas Voyager (Prestige Cruise Holdings Inc.). The total number of ship calls' of Seven Seas Voyager during navigation to the Passenger Port since 2008 - 35 times.
